Am offsetting the 4.6Ghz turbo profile voltage by -0.020vnice
maybe obvious in bios but prob quicker to ask, do you set high volts with a minus offset or low with plus???
gmaan; on a final note just about to replace the 2 fans on h70 for akasa vipers via a pwm splitter said:I thought that !, But I have a high end noctua cooler and with the best part of 1.3 volts up it, it goes to 58/60 c so at 45c target you will not hold in prime/full load![]()

The fan speed levels are only for below the target tempim sorry if im being dim here but if i set target at 50 fan at level 10 does that mean the fan is at full rpm over 50c
if so whats going on under 50 regards rpm etc
its really not very clear at all and there is no documentation i can see explaining the fan control. as soon as my my pwm splitter arrives ill put my questions to test for myself, but untill then maybe someone knows???
My motherboard is now failing to boot...does not even get to the bios screenA COUPLE OF WORDS OF WARNING
If you have to use the "clear cmos" button you will LOOSE saved profiles...write them down.
The BIOS/CMOS is a little fragile in some situations, If You crash it badly while testing/tweaking and all appears dead/locked and You can't get into the setup you should find pulling some memory might allow you to get into setup.
You may then find even with known safe settings it's still unhappy, this is because the Cmos is corrupted.
The fix is to have a copy of the latest bios flash on a USB flash drive (fat format) or floppy and reflash the Cmos from within setup
