Got my new car!

Shouldn't be any hassle though, Lotus have said ther'es a problem, I think they'd know what they are talking about when it comes to these :)
Lol that's virtually word for word what I said to the dealership.
Still, best take it down so that I can show "Maximum co-operation" which the courts like to see.
(excuse my incredibly cynical view of dealerships).

It's crazy how many Elises I see round MK.
There's a brilliant blue S2, at least 2 VX220s and a number of S1s around.
Kinda nice when you pass one going in the opposite direction, the knowning nod and the subtle wave :D

its good that there is still that sort of thing happening tbh, with more and more cars on the road you would think it would water down a bit, but you still get plenty of elise owners giving a nod!

unless your nozzer who people seem to ignore iirc :p

You're the same age as me and you have an Elise. How the hell do you manage that?!
Discussed in detail in the other thread (and this thread is about the car, not me), but basically, IT hires young and pays well if you get a lucky break :)

And very generous parents.

I had to say it. :)

By insuring it third party only, undervaluing it, and borrowing vast sums of cash.

All covered in the last 10 page thread on this :p

Good call on the garage! ;):D Sweet car there mate.

How do you manage to park it in the garage ? Just measured mine up to see if I could get the doors open to crawl out somehow. Or do you just reverse back nice and straight, get out, then push it back by hand ?

Well, technically I've had it since Wednesday, but it's only today that I've been out of the thing long enough to take any photos and post a thread :D

I'm bloody chuffed with it, like I say, I've barely been out of the thing since wednesday!
I've put about 450 miles on the clock already!

It's surprisingly comfortable once you're in it :D

Which one is that, Lotus models confuse me

I have the space to open the door about half a foot with my garage.
This involves a lot of gymnastics to get in and out of :p

And it's a Lotuse Elise S2 Tourer

Very nice - enjoy it.

Seeing lots of Elises starting to appear out here in California which gives me hope of picking up a second hand one up in a year or two. Was gutted to hear the Europa isn't coming to the US.

A good idea would be to put some foam or something soft on the walls. My old man did this as sometime our garage would get so full with odd items he would have to squeeze in. Saves you from accidentally denting your door.
