Got my Opty 165 yesterday

That's pretty good, if you're able to hit 2.6 or 2.7GHz with those temperatures... and on Air cooling? Is your room below 20c all the time? Do Opterons run that much cooler than X2? I know they operate at 0.5v lower than mine but you seem to have my idle temperatures as your load. :eek:

sure did mercyless, unfortunately the customs man took his share! :(

i'm currently having problems getting 2 versions of superpi to work, any ideas? i have installed the x2 drivers from amd, will the windows hotfix work? i set the affinity to each core but one fails if the other is running.

I booted straight into windows at 2.6ghz but the pc crashed when i tried to run 2 superpi's on the same core!! oops ;)
 
I am happy now, this has taken me ALL day tweaking! LOL

LOL - Since the moment I plugged this board in over a year ago, those figures have always remained consistant. I just put it down to some dodgy sensors on the board. I've had 3 different high end PSU's and yet those figures have never changed.

BTW...I was grinning. Its funny really, its a strange thing to get excited about really....

damn, bad luck with customs,have,nt any problems as yet but i hear they can come 2-3 months down the line :(
 
it was labelled as a gift and the value set to $10 dollars, but in the top right it said it was insured for $380 dollars :/ and the descriptions was opteron 170 processor. ah well it's here now and i didn't pay more than i would have from getting in the uk so i aint fussed

Well i recieved 2 165's yesterday from the states and they were delivered next door which is a shop, ive spoke to a guy serving in the shop and he cant find it! I rang parcelforce this morning and apparantly it was signed by a D.Packet :confused: sounds iffy to me.

Im waiting for the shop owner to arrive to ask him but im just a touch worried... :(
