Was walking in town on monday and saw in the window that sirloin steaks were a quid each so i figured ooh ill have some of that. Went in and bought 10 and poor old women asked for 2 after me and the women had to wait as there was only 1 left on the display plate thing and had to get someone out back to bring more out haha. :D

Still i mean sirloin for a quid thats a good deal tho aint it. As usually when im at asda its like 5er for 2 or somit. Were quite nice looking ones as well. Using my mothers freezer and put em in freezer bags 2 per bag, so theres my sunday dinners sorted for down hers for some nice steak for 10 weeks. :D

Why so cheap? How big, how long have they been aged for, are they still red or have they turned brown? Seems weird, they won't even be making money on that.

I'd be a bit sceptical at that price. The butcher must have been losing money or the quality of them have deteriorated drastically and he wanted rid of them quickly.

Yeah erm why is it not good that they looked fresh and red as any fresh meat when you go to a butchers shop exactly?

As meat shouldn't be bright red like you get in some supermarkets/products.

Ageing process should dull the meat. Some places also put chemicals on to keep the Bright red colour. Bright red is the sign of poor meat for those reasons.
