Got myself a 30D

Yep thats right got me a new 30D as an upgrade from the 300D

got myself a sigma 70-300 APO macro with it too, paid £955 all in the shop knocked £20 off the lens too so not too bad really. Just need the weather now to get som practice in before the airshows start

think i will, the screen is huge compaired to the 300D and im looking forward to using some of the extra fixtures. Sent off for my free prize of a 512 CF card too

I got mine a few weeks ago.Upgraded from 10D now used as a backup.Great camera love the speed.Have fun..

yeah i had 2 300D's (1 black and 1 silver) so i sold the sliver one and kept the black one as a backup, still an amazing camera in its own rights

just thought id see what the sensor is like for dust asi noticed a spot on one of the i took so i took a sky shot at F22 and done a auto level in PS this is what it came out as

is that acceptable for a new camera?

Not really, get your rocket blower on it ASAP. If it doesnt shift return it.

If you have tested the camera yourself then how can you be sure those dust spots are from the factory ?

erm where else would they come from, the body had a lens cover on it then ive only had the one lens on it sofar and its not been sat with the lens off it

Q - Where else ?
A - When you fitted the lens

Anyway, it's no big deal just clean the sensor. It's not like it will affect the perfomance of the camera long term

As for sensor dust...not much of a worry, it takes about 5 minutes to clean a sensor
