Got raped by Steam

I must admit I didn't see this ending well (as far as you're concerned), they seemed to be doing a good job of turning their back on the matter. The only thing I use steam for is buying/playing games but this has put me off ever considering trading.

Sounds like your onto how it'd work, theres always a way to palm a profit. Ironically the mafia would love such things (though obviously not literally)

What Valve really need to look at doing now, is implementing some kind of system that will make this theft pointless.
Theres a ton of suggestions in this thread about how they could do it. Doubt anything will change mind, which is a shame as it means anybody buying items runs the same risk.
Heck they could positively influence the price of items by creating more of them. I'm a mac owner and actually had a pair of TF2 earbuds, that was until my 9 year old played TF2 on my account and deleted them because he didn't know what they were

Because of the fact people destroy items like this, have them sat in their TF2 account that they never use etc.. They are worth about £20 each. If Suddenly made this available from the store overnight for $5, there would be no value in them anymore.

Here to say that i have the EXACT SAME situation for quite a while now(http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/...k-your-questions-here.20089/page-5#post-65613). Him getting unbanned has given me new hope and i will try to walk the same path and see if they unban me the same way.

I deleted about 50-100 people because my Friends List was full and as a trader I needed space. You were always free to re-add. I removed your comments because you said to add you again, and I did so. Don't want random comments clogging up my profile. As for not replying in chat, well I wasn't there!

Got unbanned today - sooooooo pleased and relieved!
A big thanks to all here who were supportive of me. I'm going to do a little payback and give some games to the good people here at OcUK. Least I can do really.

Gratz dude, I'm glade that this got sorted, Its a shame that this was an issue in the first place.
Hopefully they might bring the system fully in house maybe even charge a small fee for a more secure system that allows legit traders to trade without this sort of thing over your head.
Saying all this I got TF2 back with the Orange Pack back in the day, I wonder if I have anything in that game...
