In the past it has removed spyware the others couldnt touch. Be warned it does clear out your account quite vigorously (sp?). However, no user data should be lost. After rebooting, you will need to re-set your desktop wallpaper and windows theme etc, but all documents "should" be safe if stored in the default locations.
Use at your own risk, but I've never had a problem with it
