I already have both BG1 and 2 in CD form and Throne of Bhall, but its nice to have the collection on DVD (though four of them!).

This will keep me busy until September - October when the good games start appearing for the Christmas buildup.

Truly some of the best gaming a person can have :D

Have fun ;)

Sadly they just dont make games as good as bauldurs gate these day :(

I've got my copy on order so should arrive Monday/Tuesday with any luck. My mates keep saying how good these games were so I thought £10 for the 4 was a bargain. :)

Its the bargain of the year - there's about 400 hours of gameplay there.

Currently working through Durlag's tower with my Monk in BG1 (using BGTuTu mod) and its good, if hard work :)

I'll have to be honest and say I wasn't keen on Throne of Bhaal - when you getting to level 30+. It just becomes all about the mages, and level 9 spells are stupidly powerful...

Yeah that or Diablo style with a fighter.

Fantastic story and execution though. Gotta love Cespenar.

A quick warning to those who get it. They didn't seem to put much thought into this repackage and the Sword Coast expansion is patched with the US patch so won't run. You either have to set your region in control panel to US or download and install the UK patch (best option as the download is about 5meg all told).

Oh and you get e-manuals. These games NEED paper manuals. Lukcy I still have mine / already know all the spells etc :D [/nerd]

the only baldurs gate ive played is the newish xbox one, and it was one of the most tedious gaming experiences ive had.

i only hope the others are better, or there are a lot of people with awful taste in fantasy adventure games out there!

Xbox? No that's a different game completely riding on the Baldur's Gate name.

Baldur's Gate is quite simply the best RPG I have ever played, including Oblivion. Its really worth it for a tenner, though only if you are into beardy RPGs.

I have the original BG on a DVD, because it came free with my old computer.
Best RPG ever, and it was free :D

I never did finish the original though, I might pick up the pack, just to give me the incetive to do so.

If I recall correctly I'd borrowed the CDs from Arcade Fire many moons ago, but then when I got my Pioneer slot loading DVD drive BG came bundled on DVD, along with X-Files the game :D

Icewind dale is the better one for playing multiplayer with people.

I shall have to pick this up, to good to miss at this price, and if it saves swapping 8 disks in and out its worth it!

Infinity engine > anything else.

Icewind Dale I + II + expansions are also available for a tenner! Never played them though.

Can't get TuTu to run :( Again with the requirement of the US version.

I've got this ordered aswell. I've heard people raving about it for years and I never got round to getting it so this compilation is great.

I'll probably end up getting the icewind dale compilation also as I've got the first icewind dale ,but never played the others.

btw, Is there a multiplayer mode on baldur's gate?

I must say IWD2 is an ace game, great for Lan games of say, oo, 50 hours. :p

I was all about IWD online, my mate was all about BG/2 single-player. We'd sit watching each other's respective games for hours - particularly when I had a lvl 18 Cleric running round the Severed Hand like a God with some newbs :D

I was about half way through BG2 when I moved countries and lost my cd's. I installed it last night and will be spending a fair amount of time on it over the weekend. It is always interesting going back to a game that you loved after a long time. All I can comment on so far is the graphics and by today's standards they do look very blurry and the character animations look very wierd. Hey, I am not complaining as this game is over 5 years old.

I started playing The temple of Elemental Evil a couple of weeks ago which has better graphics (not design) and greatly improved character models and animations, but seems to lack the soul and depth of characters and story of BG2.

Does anyone know if wisdom of 4 would have any negative effects a multi fighter/mage. I am at work so I am trying to remember my stats.

str = 18
int = 18
dex = 14
con = 14
wis = 4
cha = 8

I do not know if I am putting all my eggs in one basket. (well 2 actually) I am sorting basing my build on a game guide which did not give the stats. The fighter/mage is supposed to be tough in the beginning but then becomes fairly powerful as you get into the game.

Yes. Much fun to be had.
