in a bit of a dilemna for the 360. beat GoW 1 yesterday, and LOVED it. however, i have Dead space and was wondering shell i take a little break from GoW and beat Dead Space then return and play GoW 2 or just go all gung-ho and beat GoW 2? what do you guys think, what would you do and which game do u think is more worthy of my time.

Well their both very short depending on your difficulty setting, So i just play both at same time hour or so on one then hour or so on the other.

All thou i did finish dead space in a day i enjoyed it allot and couldnt leave it be lol

Don't go straight on to GoW 2. I think you'll be bored half way through. Play Dead Space. It's fantastical.

I have to say, Dead Space revived survival horror for me after Resi Evil 5 which was utterly appauling as a horror game and fantastic as an action game.

go for Dead Space!

Gears of War 2 is the very definition of meh, I got bored after 2 chapters.

Such a repetitive game, the cover mechanic is so boring.

Wouldn't say Resident Evil 5 was fantastic as an action game, it's far too clunky and the shooting doesn't have ooomf.

Well I thought it was fantastic, but didn't scare me at any point at all. wish they'd get rid of these CGI in games, ruins it for me in horror games.

I find it hard to get into...not a fan of the shooting mechanics just doesn't feel as solid as shooting Necromorph in Dead Space.

Need to finish it for achievements though so.... :p

Dead Space finished in 1 day?! on easy setting? I never play survival horrors on the easy settings as you just feel cheated when you finish it so fast

Yeah it's quite a challenge on hard mode, ammo is so scarce at times it's quite easy to die.

At one point I was in a dimly lit root with 5-6 Necromorph and one of the bosses, took me a few tries to get past that because I had no ammo and could barely see!

Defo going through it on impossible mode after I finish it.

CGI = Computer-generated imagery

How do you plan on removing this from games?

How else do you want me to explain it?

it's a video that is pre rendered into a video container and cuts into normal gameplay. IE a pre recorded video that has been recorded specifically to enhance some scenes.

you must know the difference between viewing CGI and actually playing the game.

here is a quote from wikipedia if you like

Wiki said:
Video games usually use real-time computer graphics (rarely referred to as CGI)[citation needed], but may also include pre-rendered "cut scenes" and intro movies that would be typical CGI applications. These are sometimes referred to as FMV (Full motion video).

I rarely use the word FMV

ohhhhh, sorry I completely missed what you meant, so you want to do away with scripted events like forced cut scenes.

i.e Oh look a massive monster, lets just stand here and watch it run towards us with an equally massive axe INSTEAD of getting out of the way or unloading a few mags into its face.

In that case, yes, I completely agree with you.
