GOW - Anyone experienced this bug/problem?

Hi folks,

Just picked up my Xbox360 over the weekend and have been playing a few games (Crackdown, PGR3, Table Tennis

). I've gotta say, it's an awesome machine tbh.

I started playing GOW with my younger bro via CO-OP on the same console today, and I think I've come up against a massive bug. Basically, on the 'China Shop' part of scene one, I get up to the big boss type thing, lure it along to break the doors down, then get to the outside part where I'm assuming you're supposed to use the Hammer and pwn it.
However, whenever we get it outside, the Hammer never seems to work. It makes a clicking noise to indicate that we're not around the satellite for it to work, and we cant do much else to bring that sucker down.

We've tried luring it to various parts of the open area and we're still getting the same problem, it even seems to get 'lost' so to speak, just standing there making noises. It won't move unless we walk right up next to it, and then it just swings and downs one of us.

Any ideas on what we're doing wrong here? The Hammer NEVER works, on both players it makes a clicking noise like you get when you try and use it where you're not supposed to.

Getting quite annoyed now, we've tried it 3 times with the same result

Are you in the time limit? Maybe your taking to long getting him out there, its a limited time that the satellites in view.

Yeah the time limit is about 6 or 7 minutes IIRC, we've taking her outside with about 4 minutes to go, and it doesn't do anything. The timer gets to zero and we have to reload at the point she jumps out of the wall.

Cant say Ive experienced that problem myself, just try doing the last little bit on your own (no split-screen) and see if that helps. Ive been through the game about 10x now and never had this problem but Ive never done it split screen so its worth a try.

Also the hammer can be awkward at times and you have to aim it at a certain angle to get it to lock on which Ive noticed in multi-player a lot, but I dont think thats your problem at all. If not try deleting all GoW related stuff from your harddrive/memory unit and try starting again from scratch. Getting to the berserker shouldnt take more then 45minutes.

Worth a try I guess, as you said, we're not that far into the game. I'll probably redo it in single player now as I'm heading back to uni this weekend.

About half the time I press L when the shotgun is equipped online I get the grenade aiming system come up =/

This may sound patronising but you are locked onto him and holding the trigger down while it lines up etc? It takes a couple of seconds to build up and lock on

Tried standing in the sunny area, shooting a gun and then running and then turning putting the thing on him?

Don't worry about it, I'm a newb at most games

But I can't even get the targeting laser thing to come up, the gun just clicks once even when I hold the trigger down.

Tried this as well, we've stood in different places around the open outside area with no luck. I've even fired off a few shots with the lancer at him to get his attention which doesn't work.

I'll probably just redo it next week when I'm at uni. Loving the game so far though, excellent FPS!
