GoW - is beating Raam the end of the game?

haha, I didnt expect it to finish where it did either. I expected him running off or something. Great game tho, If not short. But thats what every man and his dog says.

I wasn't expecting it to end there either but when you think about it where can you go when your pelting along on the last carriage of a train?

I really enjoyed GoW, playing co-op with a mate split screen or online is great fun, I'm currently trying to complete it on insane and it's bloody difficult.

That was good fun when I was round there :p

I thought GOW was a trilogy anyway and this was just the first one?

I think GoW was the perfect length. A game that takes me around 7-10 hours to complete is just about the perfect length.

Didn't take me anywhere near that long on my first run through on hardcore.

Co-op'd it later with a mate so he could get his dom achievement and blitzed it in under 4 hours.

Same, 7 hours is rather a bit longer than I spent doing it.

Yeah I dread to think how short the game would be on casual. Mucking around in co-op Kalanium and I did act 1 well inside of 20 minutes. :D

I can see no fun in rushing through the game like that.
And to play only for the achievements is sad imo. I'm at the last level as well, struggling to kill Raam and once completed no doubt will play this game on hard or/and even insane/coop, but no way will I spend my time doing it for the achievements. I would rather have fun doing/playing something else.

But then, we all have different skills/ preferences/priorities...

Who said they did it for achievements, I said I helped a mate who wanted the dom achievement. He loved the game, no harm in him wanting to get the co-op unlock. May as well if he's going to keep replaying it, dont you think?

Never said anyone was rushing either, thats how long it took.

None taken :) My wording is at most times not the best description of what I want to get across :D

Those English lessons seem a lifetime ago :(

Then I owe you the apology, the nearest I got to learning another language was oui/non. Let alone conversing in another language on an internet forum :(

;)

back on topic :p
I actualy agree that GoW is a bit short, but I still really enjoyed it. And what a beauty. While it looks superb outside, the most impressive part for me were the caves. I thought the lighting was great and distant buildings looked very real to me. Actually at first I thought it was a "painted" background :D

Different strokes and all that, I thought the cave section was ok. Sometimes the edges of the outline of marcus didnt seem right to me when moving around the scenary. The area's around the church to me where stunning. A couple of the MP maps are two. A few places in the game had me just looking around at the gfx.

Even if we could argue all month about how good GOW actually is, one thing beyond doubt is it set a benchmark for gfx that future games need to hit.

Finally finished it tonight... Didnt realise that there was an extra 6 rounds for the torque bow in the area that you start from.. I was a) under the impression that the torque bow could only hold 6 rounds and b) didnt know they were there... Only took me a couple of goes after that as i kept staying exposed... Looks incredible on my new LCD too... :D Now for lost planet this weekend... ;)
