I've never really used GPRS before, but since I've had my xda orbit I've been using pocket msn every now and again. Might sound like abit of a silly question but does anyone know how much roughly it costs to connect to the net via GPRS and use pocket msn, because I haven't got the slightest idea, and I really do not want to be getting a suprise when the bill comes through!

I'm on O2 btw, £40 a month, free handset (orbit), 12 month contract, 500 mins, 500 texts.

lol im on the £30 cnotract and data rates dont change
you get 100k free and then £3 a MB
sucks a bit considering most webbys are 1MB
hope its not too nasty for you dude

i stick to using wlan in pub

Install the GPRS monitor software that came with your XDA - this will tell you how much you are spending. (can't remember the exact name but I use it and it keeps me up to date on what I've spent etc) I'm on the £40 per month contract and pay for an extra MB allowance so total bill is £43 per month and I've never gone over - I'm not a massive user though.

O2 is £3 per MB which means you can't do anything without paying a fortune, 1 webpage is 1MB with pictures enabled. T-mobile is £1 for 40MB. You can buy data bolt ons but the prices are still crap compared to t-mobile.

I left it connected the other day for about 6 hours by accident :/

If it charges you per MB, then is pocket msn free or extremely cheap to use since you aren't downloading any images?

It only transfers a few kb of data at most.
