GPS No longer works

GPS No Longer works on my 3G iphone and location is turned on... Since upgradeding to 2.2 GPS not working at all... Tried everything..

How did you get 2.2? Did you update or restore? Might need to restore it in iTunes and try again.

Might be an 02 problem, re-registering your phone like when you first get it, it can take 48 hours to get going.

Tried switching it on and off again?

I did a update at first and GPS would not work at all... I then Did a Restore and still GPS wont work I think GPS is now Borked it wont work at all now... Good apple are good at borking things these days

Try ringing Apple first thing Monday. Keep an eye on it, as it may be 02.

Dont think the GPS is anything to do with o2 is it mate? the GPS is to do with the Satellite to pick up where i am the blue dot is what i am referring to any idea?

I've seen cases where the GPS has been affected by 02. Is the 3G working ok?

Hmmm that strange yeah 3g working great no problem with 3g everything else is fine just the stupid GPS...

What the best way to wipe the iphone and restore.. When i did a restore I just press restore in itune but i think there a HEAVY way to do this am i right?

You can wipe it from the phone menu (somewhere in settings). Takes a LONG time though.

Make sure iTunes is open.
Switch the phone off.
Hold down the home button and plug it in, keeping the home button held down until you see an iTunes logo and cable.
iTunes will recognise the phone in recovery mode, click Restore.

Will try that but I honestly think i have a Hardware fault... I see how things goes over tmr if it the same then I am going to book myself into Apple at meadowhall and get it sorted

Just done a restore from recovery and NOPE Gps not work at all think it must be broken... Look like a visit to apple

Take it to Apple is your best bet then.

Don't think it is hardware, as the update broke it. Makes it seem like a software problem.

Well, my GPS didn't seem to work but since updating the firmware to 2.2 it now works! All seems a bit hit and miss.

Want to apple store today and get my iPhone Swapped out as the GPS is DEAD was not software related the GPS itself was dead though it was and now got a brand spanking new iPhone that works
