bought a new seagate freeagent go a couple of months back for my other half, she decided today that she was going to use it for the first time today to back up some photos, but its not being regconised by her system (xp sp3)

having a look in computer management it shows the drive being GPT Protective Partition. How can I remove this??

any help would be great, thx

Hi, GPT partition is used for supporting >2TB partitions. Vista supports it but XP-32bit doesn't. Just re-format using MBR instead.
