GPU advice?

Hi Guys,

I bought a Palit GeForce GTX 1070Ti Jetstream on the 30th April just gone to power my new monitor as a stop gap waiting for the 11 series cards to drop.

With Nvidia now saying it's going to be a very long time until we get the new cards I'm wondering if it's now worth making the jump to a 1080ti if it's going to be a year or so until the 11 series hits?


I'm currently using an Predator x34 ultra wide monitor at 1440, on an 3930k I7 if that helps.

The 1070 Ti is a very capable card, just carry on using it until the next gen of cards turn up.

The 1080 Ti is about 35% to 40% faster than a 1070 Ti but this won't make a huge difference in games and it is difficult to justify the upgrade cost to a 1080 Ti.
