Hi i am thinking of getting a new GPU 1080 or 1070 from what i have seen the new GPU are HDMI 2 at moment dont have 4 k tv or monitor but will in the future. At moment i run a hdmi under the floor boards to a samsung smart tv and also have on a pc monitor when i get my new card and a very long HDMI 2.0 cable if i can find one will the end fit in my samsung tv are they the same ends as the old HDMI like i say will get 4k + monitor soon

The HDMI connectors are the same so you won't need to worry about that. Could test your current HDMI cable to see if it does 4K once you get the TV, really it's just the cable but with extra insulation to prevent interference.

You might want to remove that link, as OcUK also sells HDMI cables so it counts as a competitor.

But for nearly £40 seems crazy. A quick search on the rainforest shows a few 20m ones for under £25.

I seriously recommend testing your current cable first.

Cant seem to find 20 meter ones arrrrrrrr thing is cant wait to test really because floorboards are up at moment for some work so want to get this one down will check old one when all set up then sell it is a bit old now

yeah, this, if it's a "high speed" hdmi cable then you should be good to go - not sure what HDMI 2.0 is like for distances though
Well I have a 10m HDMI 3k cable, and its fine (although its a bit higher grade than the normal ones). I did join two 5m cables with a standard joiner but that had problems. However when I replaced the joiner with a repeater, 4k@60 had no problem.

So it depends on what quality of cable your using (<10m), or if the cable is an active one for long distances (15m+).

Thanks again for all your help on this Roguey000 this sounds like what i am looking for what i am worried about is if i get all this stuff and dont get 4k@60 from what i have seen its saying 4k@30 if i can finned one that is 4@60 that be great this is all new to me but why there is work been done to my house may as well get new wires down before floorboards go back

The one i have seen IBRA® LUXURY GOLD High Speed 20 Meter Gold Plated HDMI to HDMI cable with 3D, Ethernet and Audio Return Channel,Version 2.0/1.4a (20m/64ft) looks right not to sure
Features:
* IBRA® HDMI Supports 4K@50/60, (2160p), 4 times the clarity of 1080p/60 video resolution
some say it does not do 4k@60 also this one KabelDirekt 20m HDMI Cable (1080p 4K 3D High Speed with Ethernet ARC) ment to be ok any info be great what u think overclockers will be getting my money for a new GPU and SSD :)

Unless you can guarantee it is made to category 2 spec and 24awg or lower 4K@60 will be hit and miss at those kind of distances and even 2 people might get very different results with the same cable.
