What is wrong with them KFA 3090s is there a reason they are still in stock?
Nothing really wrong as such. When I bought mine at least there were no reviews to be found (reviews still appear thin on the ground from a quick check) so it was a bit of a gamble, but I didn't want to spend more than the 1499 that I did. We got two actually, house mate has one as well.
The noise isn't bad on air, but I run mine on water and the max temperature I've seen is 49C. Wasn't crazy hot on air either, but can't recall those temps. They have a zero fan speed mode when idle.
Yeah, you can overclock them a little bit, but here's their biggest downside: they're BIOS limited to 350W, and there's no dual bios. At 350W you're not going to be setting any records though. A 390W BIOS can be found online; not something I've tried yet myself - I'm considering buying a little UPS before I'd risk flashing it. Even on air you'll be hitting the 350W power limit btw.
So, they're nothing to write home about, but they are okay. Quite happy with mine, runs the games just fine, but I'll need to flash it if I want to compete in the benchmarks here.
Basically, when buying an AIB card you'd have to consider whether a bit more out of the box overclocking headroom is worth an extra outlay for a different card vs the KFA2 3090.
