Hi guys I'm looking to purcahse a Hazro HZ30Wie 10-Bit 30" and was curious to know whether I would have to purchase another 670 and perhaps an I7 processor to power the 1600p at high quality graphics, and I don't see the point to having a 1600p monitor to then have to run it on low, maybe as well stick with the 1080p on ultra.

Any thoughts/opinions on what I should do?

i run a 1440p on a 7950 over clocked a little and i mean a little

i can run all games on ultra apart from Crysis 3! that ruddy game.

So i would either suggest getting rid of the 670 and getting two 7950's or maybe a 7970.

AMD more bang for buck.

My 7970 powers my Hazro HZ30WIe perfectly... Though its clocked to 1200/1750

Does struggle with All max settings on some games tho

Do you think £400 for a Hazro HZ30WIe is a good deal and was 1080p to 1600p amazing or just a little difference? :D

I run a 30" 2560x1600 crossover ips screen (£370 btw ;-)) with a 670, its overclocked +600 on mem and +100 on gpu but it runs all the latest stuff on very decent settings.

For example Bioshock infinite has everything on ultra bar ambient occlusion which is on high and I get very decent frame rates.

does the 1440p to 1600p make that much of a difference my 7950 runs bioschock on ultra with everything turned up and no struggle

hmm Why is it so cheap??

I wouldn't buy it unless it was new with a warranty.

hazro is ok to deal with but i would rather have warranty with a retailer.

Crossfire currently gives the same effective fps as a single card... patch due maybe July

A single 670 will run 1440 / 1600 on decent settings but not maximum, try that first

Currently on most BF3 maps I get 60 FPS but it stutters I don't know why.

Quite annoying when you can see 60 FPS on numerous programs.

Although not overly helpful, I used to run a single GTX 580 & U3011 - needed to add another to get the desired fps @ 2560x1600, would imagine a similar situation when running a single 670?

I run a couple of GTX580s (3GB Lightning Xtreme's) on a 2560x1600 screen. Most games give a solid 60 FPS on high settings but struggle somewhat on ultra, e.g. BF3, Bioshock Infinite, Stalker COP.

I would do a bit of research in to VRAM usage as mine will sometimes tip over the 2gb mark. 2GB cards could potentially cause a problem on certain games, particularly with hi-res texture packs etc.

My advice would be to drop in another 670 for SLI if gaming at that res. A single card may struggle.

And as a side note, don't touch Hazro monitors. I tried one and wasn't happy with the quality compared to the money I spent. I coughed up in the end for a Dell U3011 and it was well worth the extra cost.

Surely a B grade monitor is virtually a guarantee that you'll have dead pixels :D

there is a difference between VRAM used and VRAM needed
I had 670 SLI 2GB at this res with absolutely no problems

Gregster has done multiple tests at 5760x1080 that show no problems with 2GB of VRAM even at a much larger resolution than 2560

I also used to have 3GB 580's, however I got much better frame rates on 670 SLI despite being down 1GB on VRAM

Good to know, thanks. I've been considering an upgrade myself and this will widen my options :)

So if I was to upgrade you would advise to get another 670?

Hopefully I can get another one that is a decent clocker like this one, gives 680+ performance.
