GPU for a friend

non i was getting 60 fps on a i5 750 and 2x 5750's with shadows turned down so you should easily get it in raids it would dip to like 30 fps but you cant even notice it and even now ive changed gpu the difference isnt even noticable the heat and noise is though.

I don't believe you, I have a 1gb 6950 and with everyone Ultra with 4AA I get 60 constant in most area's but not orgimmar or stormwind so please justify :D

You have an AMD 955, I have an i5-2500, but I laso lag in Orgrimmar and demanding areas such as specific parts of Northrend etc.

Ah right well ye I want 60 fps whether i'm in Orgrimmar or specific of Northrend.

It's nothing to do with being in Orgrimmar, it's the main Horde city and there's always a tonne of people there, it's not because of your components just the fact that it's rammed (I think)

well all in all the eye see's things as fluid motion anything above 24 frames per second if he really wants to throw 300 quid at a card for wow fair enough it just isnt necesaary tbh a mid range will manage it easily. as for cpu's you will be looking at minimum 250quid just for a new mobo and cpu to go for a I5-2500k unless you risk 2nd hand. If money is no option go for it, if you dont wanna throw your money away go for a decent mid ranged card and wait for the next gen cpu's when everyone will be offloading their old chips and gfx cards will hopefully fall in price due to competition from nvidia.
