7870XT is not far from 7950 performance out the box. There's no guarentees the 7870 will be a good clocker. The one I had was crap.

With the 7870XT on special this week I would look at one of them for that much. Almost 7950 performance out of the box for 180 is a great deal.

The 7950 imo, new drivers look promising too fixing a lot of **** over many games!

Yeh £250 for a B-grade 7970 is not worth it since you can get a brand new 7950 for less than that with only a 5 - 10% performance difference.
