Hi guys

now that my saphire 5830 has broken i need a new GPU

I dont really want to spend anymore than £150

Whats the best that i can get for that price?

Yes it's a good card but if I were you I'd get one of the sapphire ones with 2 free games instead of one. You will lose 30Mhz overclock but you should be able to easily put that on manually.

If you can wait a few days you can get a HD 6870 for £120.

The HD 6870 is on a par with, or perhaps marginally better than, a HD 5850 so will be a bit of an upgrade from a HD 5830.

Better cooling on the MSI and overclocked slightly. Better cooling would mean a higher overclock, usually.

I wouldn't say "a lot". It's more or less roughly same as upgrading to 5850 from a 5830...
