Hi what is better

GTX 680 OR 7950

as the 7950 is half the price of a 680 GTX

Will two 7950 be even better .....


What card do I need to play BF3 and Crysis 3 at max settings

at full res 2560x1440 any help would be great thank you

also when I run any thing graphic intensive on my 6950 GPU it crashes

does this mean the gpu if faulty even thou its brand new first time I used it ,.,,,,,,,

Considering your resolution a 7950 wouldn't be too far off a 680, "maxing" both those games with a single card wont be possible though, not with that many pixels on the screen...35ish fps on BF3 and probably in the 20s with Crysis3 lol.

Turning down the AA should make them more than playable though, two 7950s will crunch through nearly all games with settings turned up to 11 (not all games, but most)

For games such as Crysis 3 / 1440p, most certainly.

Yep, c3 with all the bells and whistles set detail wise would benefit from a multi gpu setup. Im an sli user, mainly bf3 as i still have to purchase crysis 3, (bit skint lately). The ati 700 range do have the benefit of 3gb onboard ram, which is nice to have for high res or multiple monitor use. But i cant comment on ati cards of late, as tbh ive never owned one. But they do represent very good value for money.

This. That should be able to allow you to play at max settings with your resolution, assuming the rest of your PC won't hold it back.

nope my pc wont hold me back I think any recommendations on which GPU Brand ........

buy overclocked or overclock my self if easy to do .....

For the 7950, I would point to the HIS version, though in general I look to Gigabyte, KFA2, MSI and EVGA for when I'm purchasing video cards.

Overclocking them is very easy, dont worry about that part, i would just get 2 cards with good coolers on im sure the guys here can recommend a few.

year that what ever one was saying to me I was tempted by the 680gtx as some news one going cheap on famous site .....
