some thing not right here, just lately iv been getting the nvidia sentinal complaining the gpu is running out of power, i have an enermax 650w psu with 36a on the +12v, system spec:- intel p4 prescott 3.2ghz, abit ic7 max3, mushkin redline 2gb, 1 WD 250GB hd, 1 WD 80gb and 1 hitachi deskstar 80gb in raid 0 via a pci raid card, SB X-Fi, Hardsid sound card, 1 cd-rom, 1 dvd writer, 2 12cm fans and 1 80cm fan.

i have tried a enermax liberty 620w with 2 22a +12v lines, bios shows the +12v to be at 11.79v and the 5.0v to be at 4.94v. at the monent i cant play an games :(

hmmm another posabilty, its funny the problem only cropped up recenlty, when i installed the card everything was fine, i have stripped the machine down to just mobo, cpu and gfx card and still only get 11.79v on the +12v

If something was shorting it would probably just restart and playing games really shouldnt effect something that was shorting. It would be random as well.

That system uses less power than either of mine (just about) and I am only running a 450w aerocool and a 430w seasonic so it I doubt it is the PSU.

Does the 7800GS have it's own power line? Make sure nothing else is plugged into the cable that the 7800GS is.

Yeh my 7800 gtx brings that screen up from time to time, tried 3 different psu's but still happens randomly. Bug i reckon.
