GPU Issues ( I believe)

I would RMA it in fact, GPU-z showed something wasn't right and it also crashed in Hitman. While other card Ran fine.
Or what I would do is Leave good card in by itself and play Hitman tonight longer than 30mins for good enough test. Then if still no crash RMA the other card tomorrow.

Will do. Time for a few hours of hitman on the "good card".

Btw thanks so much for all your help.

You Sir, are awesome.

I still don't understand why in the 3dmark11 runs both the HD 7970s are reporting they have 1024mb of vram, all the other HD 7970s I have seen report 3072mb of vram with 3dmark11.

Also in 3dMark11 7970s should get around a 9990 GPU score. Whereas the better of mine that actually works only gets about 8900. Any ideas?

Gonna return the faulty one tommorow to OCUK>

Scores can change from System to system OC play massive parts in this. Take my results to yours My 7950 beats your 7070 but if you was to OC your card you then gain a lead I wouldn't be able to catch.

You really need to get your CPU well over 4.0ghz to drive the Cards on this benchmark. If your comparing your score to some of the scores in gregsters 3dmark11 thread, most of the CPUs are running high overclocks.

I did have an overclock previously, but I put it down to stock while troubleshooting the GPU cards. After I get my replacement card i'll re-overclock.
