GPU Monitor

Can anyone recommend a good GPU Temperature monitor? I've got a GTX580 and i've seen some screenshots before that people have posted which show GPU stats at the top of their games (kind of like Fraps FPS counter, but for GPU Temps).

Also i only have a single monitor.

Im experiencing crashes in BC2 and need to see what the GPU is hitting before making any assumptions.

MSI Afterburner will let you monitor it.

If you are looking for straight plug-ins so you can see it in the same frame as the game, I really do not know. Not sure how BC2 handles mods, but games that allow for modding will quite often have performance monitoring tools available from the modding community.

MSI afterburner gives you the GUI readout ( whilst playing the game ). You just have to enable it in the settings.
Dont leave home without it!

I tried it with BC2, interesting. It shows 75c and system locks up on me randomly, however i can run Unigine with 75c and its fine.... maybe early driver problem or a setting not right somewhere (everything turned on full in BC2).

to test if you 580gtx is stable download Tropics v1.3.
http://unigine.com/products/tropics/

Heaven really doesnt stress the 580gtx too much.
run that with 16AF and max res + DX11.
3-4 runs should do it.

Thanks for the help - i will be trying that tonight. I'm hoping its not the 580 after hearing about Palits recall i really want to avoid the hassle, although i have the standard palit not the OC one.

I think the quality of a good 580gtx varies a lot!
Some can do 772mhz at only 1.00. These are gems.
Some 772 @ 1.025
most can do 772 @ 1.05
And 772 some crappy @ 1.075

The launch was a bit rushed.

the best monitor that i know of is G19 keyboard with Plugin Sirreals Panel
2nd best MSI afterburners plugins.
