GPU not recognised

Hi, hope someone can help.

Here are my specs

i5 2500k
EVGA 770
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
8gb Ram.

Ive recently bought the 770 but does not work in the PCI x16 slot but it works in the x4 slot.
Ive disabled the on board graphics and changed the bios setting also to primary x16.

Out of ideas tbh so hope someone can help.

Just to say that my sound card works in both the x16 & x4 slot.

What revision BIOS are you running on your motherboard and can you see if its a REV 2.0 board.

its the 1.0.

i have the F7 so wats the best way to update it to F8, sry not too hot on these things.
