I've had this happen several times now and can't find a reason for it. I'm thinking it's heat/power draw related though.

When gaming, the PC will completely switch off. Just like someone has switched it off at the wall.

Pressing the power switch again won't start it back up. I have to switch the PSU off on the rear, leave it 5 seconds and it's fine again.

It'll start up, no errors in Windows, I can load the game up and play again without issue.

I'm thinking it's either the ageing PSU at fault, or the old power hungry GPU. (It runs between 80° and 90° playing at 3440x1440).

What’s your PC specs? How old is it, mainly the PSU and GPU obviously?

But at first thought it does sound like a PSU issue.

Yeahhh most likely PSU I would have thought. If its a really old PSU and a power hungry GPU you might be hitting it too hard as the PSU capacity has probably degraded

Specs in sig. Both items bought second hand, so no idea on age.

I'll look for another PSU. 750W good enough, do I need larger? Current one is 750w
