Lately my GTX 285 hasn't been getting anywhere near the 8000PPD I'm used to seeing on it with some of the older work units. What could be up with it? Anything I can do?
Depends on the WU I think, my GTX260 is currently chewing around 7K out of a P10106 but got 8.4K out of a P10501 and anything in between on the 5XXX WU's
the core_14 based units run slower as the core 'pulses', tend to get anything up to a 20% reduction in ppd on my gtx295. (8-8.5k on each core rather than 9.5-10k per core)
Slow with me too My 260 only use 4% at time according to GPU-Z
A glut of 472 pointers hit my ppd.
Now running project3469 450 pointer.will take about 1hr 33.
My GTX295 gets around 7.5k per core on the 445/450 pointers; around 8k on the 1888 and 472 pointers; around 9k on the P57** WUs and a little over 9k for the P105** WUs.

We've all had our computer blond moments - usually after 1am I find.
Took me three goods to get my new keyboard working last night (plug and play - NOT)
Can't wait to see my little boys face when he finds the backlight colour changing button
Boy and there toys - gutted the wife liked the eclipse II more that the lycosa, but the saitek is quieter
And the point of getting it was night typing.
The Eclipse II is a wonderful keyboard - I absolutely love it!
The Lycosa is nice too, but I would be happy with either. And yes, the colour change is nice hehe. I am in a purple/fuschia mood tonight!
And damn, Biffa! Were the plugs not colour coded? I must have checked 10 times before I hit the ON switch on my Corsair modular PSU! One of my most memorable blonde moments was my first ever self build. PC wouldn't post and the beep code said it was the graphics card. I could see the pins weren't sitting in the PCIE slot properly. Took a few hours of me messing around with standoffs before I noticed the mobo tray itself was bowed!
A swift application of precision elbowing fixed that! Another "d'oh!" moment was buying an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 for my brothers PC in an Antec A ria [it's the name of the case, not the competitor!]. It fitted perfectly - as long as you didn't want a disc drive. Or a HDD.
