what suprises me is that other retailers haven't yoyo'd their prices since this morning like Overclockers have done.

Sorry but CPUs have almost no margin in them, so we couldn't maintain old pricing without making a large loss on every unit. I imagine Gibbo will review them in detail when he's back in the office this afternoon.

Your Samsung Evo 850 250Gb is £14 more than the cheapest national competitor.

OCUK AFAIK have the largest customer base out of all the e-tailers of PC parts so it's only a smart business move to try and grab a few more pennies, Scrooge like but smart non the less.

Up a pound and down a penny. A right royal rip off of loyal customers.

GPU prices seem absolutely crazy since over the past 2 weeks I've purchased..

Asus Pro Gaming Z170 Mobo
Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3200Mhz 16GB RAM
Intel i7 6700K Retail CPU..

..from OcUK which totalled £521.93

All that for less than the cheapest 1080.. its shocking when you sit back and think about it.

Absolutely. There's no reason for the 1080/70 to be anywhere near the present price range from any retailer.

Tbh the pound/dollar issue was a smokescreen. Current pricing for 1080/70 is just another example of consumers being ripped off.

Why don't the monitors go up in price like the GPU's are ?

Like the Asus PG348Q ROG Swift 34" is still at the same price as weeks ago

A £800 MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK goes up by £100 to £900,
But a £1100 monitor stays the same price..

Because you can get away with it?

Monitors are purchased in GBP and typically the manufacturer only adjust pricing for exchange rate at start of every quarter. So they likely will go up but in a months time and it will be dramatic. But at the same time depending on stock in hubs and their location price could hold.

SeaHawk went up to £900 due to supply and demand, not exchange rate. ;)
£900 for a GPU!!!
