GPU Resale analysis

Between the length of time stuck on 28nm, Intel not doing anything particularly interesting in the CPU space, etc. I've built up a nice little pot for upgrades - had to slightly raid it to replace the garbage Asus ROG Swift with the much better Dell equivalent which aren't cheap monitors :S but aside from that hardly anything lately tempting me to spend.

Rroff, I've been thinking of getting the ASus ROG Swift PG348Q, but also considered the the Acer Predators (x34A and the 4k2k) one and the Dell UltraSharp UP3216Q.

What didn't you like about the ROG Swift PG348Q?

My current card is a HD7950 which I would like to replace with something like a 1070 ideally. Going rate seems to be about £55ish on MM so after shipping fees etc is under £50. Although actually not too bad I suppose for a card I purchased in 2012.

I sold a 7950 vapor-x before christmas for £75 on the auction site when there was a £1 final valuation fee offer. worked out to around £64 in the bank after fees and postage.

I sold my 7950 recently after getting the 480, managed to get £60 for it privately although after petrol reduction from going to meet the guy it was probably closer to £55 or so. Still fairly decent considering, there's a lot of people after these sorts of cards for random builds it would seem!

Just recently sold my pair of titan x sli that were about 18 months old for £650 each on ebay. Given I paid about £850 a card I don't think £400 is too much loss over 18 months.
