GPU sag/weird "grinding" noise?

Hi,

For the longest time (basically since I originally bought my GPU) I've always experienced this weird grinding sound of sorts whenever my GPU was under load.

At first I was lead to believe that it was just a weird sounding coil while (seeing as many users with the same GPU (AMD Sapphire 7850 2GB w/ Dual-X cooler I believe), so for the most part I just ignored it.

Anyway, fast forward a few years to today and I'm thinking about selling it/passing it on to someone else. I was gonna state it had coil whine problems, but upon further investigation it seems that it's just making this noise due to GPU sag.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and is there a common fix for it?

I would search the forum, but the search function seems to be broken for me :D

I'll try to get audio/vid when I get home if that's any help/you don't quite understand my issue as I'm not explaining it clearly enough.

Thanks!

prop it up/cable tie it up, and does it stop the noise? Ive not heard of it before, but I would imagine its one of the fans?

The grinding will probably be the fan catching, If it's been sagging for a few years without you trying to hold it up then the pcb will have no doubt molded to the sag shape.
