Hi,

Currently putting together my first build and after putting in my Gigabyte 7970 OC, noticed a little pit of sag at the end (albeit a small amount). Just want to make sure if this is okay or not.

I will attempt to upload pictures, not sure if it will work as I haven't done it before. I have tried to make it is clear as possible, but it is bit hard to catch it with a picture. The first picture is of the whole card, then I have tried to zoom in on where you can notice the sagging.

Or fit a backplate.

Another quick fix i've found for card sag is slacken the screws on the pci bracket, gently move card into desired position & tighten - doesn't always work I might add.

GA-Z77X-D3H and a 500R? But on topic, i have 2 cards fitted with acceleros and they sag a touch, my cards before the acceleros sagged. No problems at all, i think every card ive owned since my 3870 has kinda sagged a bit.

Thanks everyone, I may give the power jack thing ago. If a bit of sag is fairly normal though I will probably try and leave it, I will have to try and fight my paranoia :D

@shawsy109 - correct mobo, but CM Storm Trooper

oh i was so close! i thought it was a 500R, i have the same board, pure quality without all the fancy shizzle that the higher end UD range gives. 2500k solid @ 5ghz, although its a bit toasty, but still stable. On topic though, i dont think its a massive prob, maybe prop it up if your worried as mentioned above.

Thanks for all the replies, even the ones from the dirty minded people :D

nah, it sagged before the cables were connected. I will either leave it, or more likely buy that jack linked above

what you can do is reposition those power cables, instead of them coming from the bottom, position them so they come from the top of the graphics card and use a cable tie to secure the cables somewhere.

Decided I will either gho with the PC Monkey idea or the fishing wire one, at the moment I will just leave it as is though I think. Thanks everybody :)
