Having never removed the stock cooler from a GPU before, can somebody tell me what steps i would need to take after removing the coolers....

could i strap some fans to the cards and use them or do i need a bunch of heat sinks and some thermal pads?

Many Thanks

So i need heatsinks of some kind?

Can anyone suggest some air coolers that i could place on two 285's on a Rampage II Extreme, where there isn't a great deal of room between the cards, if any!

Anyone out there have two cards SLI'd or Xfired on the R2E with some after market air coolers?

I am putting the CPU under water (have the parts, just waiting for time to 'build') Would it be worth considering the GPU's as well?

NB: I would like to get a physx card in the bottom slot at some point as well, if only for some benching. (not an issue if GPU's are W/C)

NB2: R2E is at RMA atm and i am running a P6TD Dlx until then (considerably more room between the 16x slots)

Would it be better to keep this board and air or water cool and sell the R2E when it comes back?

Many Thanks
