GPU Temps?

Here's a nice easy one for you guys.

My Nvidia 295 GTX is running at 67 Degrees C at idle and can go up to 94 Degrees C when in Game.

Isn't that a little hot? If so what should I be looking for the temps to be?

Ta guys

Seems a bit warm.

In Guru3D's tests the dual PCB card idled at about 50 and went up to 75 at load.

The single PCB card idled at 42-45 and went up to 70-75 at load.

Perhaps your card and/or case need a good dusting.

idle seems very high, but the more important load temps look about normal to me:

GTX 295 benchmark: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/168
(temperatures near the bottom)

you probably have bad airflow in the case or something, because my case has terrible airflow for the graphics card, and im getting about 7C above their benchmarked temperatures for my card

Looks like you were right guys. I looked at the GPU and it didn't look that dirty but I got the dyson going on the heat sinks and fans and now I am getting these temps

Idle = 57 degress C
Load = 81 degrees C

Thanks for your help ;)

Ahh, I see. The CPU temps are fine, it was just the GPU that was getting a bit warm :)

Yea you have it on your GPU as well ;) I'm not personally saying you need to mess with that though.

He he he.

Its easy taking the gpu apart. Its just about 10 12 screws. If you can build a computer its nono harder.

That card is old now. (still good tho) so the Tim will be dry. You could clean the inside better while doing that. I think you could get 5c off that easy. Will make it quieter as well.
