recently I have been looking to upgrade my gpu from my current r9 390x, not knowing anything about the rx480 , I bought the nitro+ OC. thought it would have been a decent upgrade but apparently not.

then I had the idea of mounting my mobo upside down so I could see the coolant flowing through the waterblock , this lead me to Thermaltakes's Core X2.

the upgrade I want needs more power in terms of graphics performance but also has to fit inside the Core X2, I wouldn't mind having to go with another brand like NVidia.

any suggestions?
 
Surley the 390x is good enough for 1080p or do you have any other reasoning for an upgrade ?

because why not? all jokes aside though, I want a more powerful card to keep up with this new line of games that need more power because they're getting more features and better looks.

i was thinking on going for a 1080 but atm i only have the coin for a 1070, probably gonna be one of those.
 
Why not wait until Vega releases, The 390x is no slouch, It does a decent job and Vega should be here for the next big batch of 2017 game releases, If Vega doesn't interest you it should also affect Nvidia's 1070 & 1080 pricing so worst case is it gives you time too save a bit more to go for a 1080 which may also be a bit cheaper by then.

i was wondering when the next gpu group release was, you got a date?. im not going to be doing the new build untill after new year anyway, a bit of time might make it easyer to do.
