GPU Tweak is broken!

Hi

Im having issues with GPU tweak. I cant get it on screen, when I try to open it it says its already running. Ive tried to uninstall it and it tells me I need to close it first. Ive tried to end the process and it says
" The operation could not be completed.
Access denied"

Ive tried reinstalling GPU Tweak but again it wont allow me.
Ive tried starting windows in safe mode, disabling all but basic start up services but I cant seem to get rid of or use GPU tweak.

Im using Windows 7

Thanks for any help you can give.

Just kidding but my system is usually on all the time its not just a start up issue.

I have the same issue with it,to get it to open youll need to close both tweak and monitor in task manager then use the launch icon

Ive tried to close them in task manager but it says the operation could not be completed access denied.

Does yours close no problem?

my new Asrock Mobo is the same, none of the software will open if it's already in the menu taskbar....you cant do anything if it's there... not even delete it from C-Drive !!!!

yeah i can close it without any issues,its random whether is shows itself in the taskbar menue too,usually its not there but as you say if u click the launch icon it will say its already running , thats when i simply close it from task manager and restart it,i think its the "start with windows" and "start minimized" that causes the issue

Sorry I didnt get the memo. I will follow all your posts closely in furure to avoid further embarassment :rolleyes::D
 
Well it turned out to be an easy fix. I went in the install directory and opened up the monitor and from there it let me display gpu tweak. I have disabled minimize on start up and it seems ok now. As a side note without making any other changes the card seems to run artifact free @1200 core :)

Good job finding a fix though!
 
Ive done nothing more than move the slider to 1200 then give it a run with heaven 4.0 so im sure there is more to be had!

nice find m8 , ive pinned that monitor to start menue now so it should allow for easier access to tweak , thanks :)
