I really need to get to undervolting my 4090. It's staying cool but heats the room too much, I'm sweating lol.

I tinkered around with an 'extreme' undervolt on mine today - got it running at 875 mV/66% (285w) at a core clock of 2505 (stock 4080 clocks) - still plenty fast to run 4k games.

Nice! Someone recommended I aim for 990 at stock clocks.

Got my 3080ti down to 0.925mv at its stock 1935mhz with only a few fps dropped, fps is much more stable though and feels smoother. Passes multiple runs of Timespy extreme, speed run and hours of heaven but crashes while playing Cities Skylines, so need to find the sweetspot... sits at about 54c when absolutely pegged under water. So a few degrees down and saving anywhere between 90w and 200w while gaming. Seeing about a 3c to 5c drop in fluid temps though.

i have only had a small go last night but undervolted my new 3060ti to 900mV and added 100 to the core and 500 to the memory.
Its all fine and more than 10 degrees cooler! (it was getting up to 86 degrees 2 days ago. Last night never got higher than 71)

I tried undervolting with a laptop ( 2070 max q ) and it was not very effective at all for me at least.

I guess with the max q they have already tuned everything to be as efficient as possible.

I used to run my 3080 at 1915mhz at 875mV. I have not tried with the 4090 yet but it would be nice to drop the power draw a bit.

1800 @ 825 here on 3080, did have it higher at 1975 @ 875 but performance difference wasn't worth the extra heat/power/noise.

Please let me know when you do the 4090.
So not a full test or anything but more of a quick curisoty.

Cyberpunk 2077 3440*1440 every setting on max Dlss 2 (no frame gen) set to quality

These were the averages i saw so not graphed or anything but these were generally where the sustained readings were in rivatuner -

Path tracing
standard 448W 64fps GPU clock 2650Mhz
75% power limit 333W 60fps Gpu clock 2475Mhz

raytracing psycho

Standard 390W 94.3fps
75% limit 338W 92.4fps

edit: added more details

Wow. Much better performance efficiency!

just tried rdr2 (120ish) and ac vahalla(151), and i think i'm hitting the engine limit for my cpu as there is no real difference between the 2 maybe 30 watts or so but the fps stay they same within margin of error.
