TBH I'd much rather go 1080p and 120,144,165 or 240hz than 1440p and 75hz.
Unless you don't play competitive fps.
Also if you think gpu prices are high it's best to just stick to 1080p also as you can then still buy really cheap card which will play everything really well.
I was wondering about this. There’s a lot more 2060 supers to choose from at that price range. Is there not much of a difference between them and the 2070?

I play a mixture of games ( both online FPS and story driven single player stuff). The only problem with higher refresh rate monitors is that I need an IPS screen as the other big use for my PC is photography and it seems that this makes them very expensive compared with the like of a TN panel.TBH I'd much rather go 1080p and 120,144,165 or 240hz than 1440p and 75hz.
