I've had my current setup for around 3+ years, ended up getting back into PC gaming when the cyrpto mining boom was going off so paid through the nose for the GPU...

I'm just floating the idea of an upgrade to a newer GPU but would like some advice on the mobo/CPU setup, as I dont have plans to upgrade these yet...

Current setup:

Mobo: X570 Aorus Elite
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x AM4
RAM: 32Gb DDR4 3600
GPU TUF 3070ti 8gb.

I CBA for 4k, more than happy with my 165hz 1440p monitor so thats the target really. I'm not chasing polygons or FPS. Just something that allows me to play modern games well.

Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Coming from a 3070ti the bare minimum I'd look at would be a 5070ti or 9070 at as close to MSRP if possible.

Otherwise you might be better off considering the second hand market.

A 3070 Ti is still pretty capable for 1440p, the only thing that holds it back is the 8GB.

Depending on the games you play, you may even get better mileage from a new CPU (5700X3D) than the GPU, though a 9070 / 9070 XT would double your VRAM.

I'm aiming for the 5070ti coming from the 3060ti with a similar setup @2k 144fps. If I didn't need CUDA, I'd opt for the 9070XT without a doubt.
