GPU Upgrade to AMD

I have now put my current specs in my sig.

5 lines max in sig or you'll get suspended dude. I personally think you can still drop a 7800XT in there and be relatively ok (get a good boost now and a good one when you update the platform).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Having thought about it further I think it's about time to splash the cash and update my whole rig. I built my present rig about 7 years ago & I think my current CPU may be a bottleneck if I upgrade just my GPU.

I'd still get the GPU anyway. Your CPU will hold you back a bit but its still 6 core 12 thread and at 1440p should not be that bad. Depends on what games you like.

You can upgrade gpu but wait for AMD's Zen5 coming near end of year. It should be a pretty good boost.
