GPU warranties and waterblocks

Bit of a long shot but is there a manufacturer out there whose warranty is not voided by adding a waterblock, or any other aftermarket cooler for that matter?

probably not, but so long as you keep the stock cooler you can put it back on and chances are they wouldnt know/check, bit naughty I know.....

I thought as much, just I thought I saw someone mention on here a while back there was one manufacturer whose warrnty was not voided by putting on an aftermarket cooler, just couldn't remember which one

EVGA/BFG and i think XFX let you do it.

must just be EVGA/BFG as XFX warranty states:

This warranty offered by XFX to its Resellers is limited to the repair and/or replacement, at XFXs discretion, of defective or nonconforming Product, and XFX shall not be responsible for the failure of the Product to perform specified functions, or any other non- conformance caused by or attributable to: (a) any misapplication, modification or misuse of the Product; (b) failure of Customer to adhere to any of XFXs specifications or instructions; (c) neglect of, abuse of, or accident to, the Product; or (d) any associated or complementary equipment or software not furnished by XFX.

Unfortunately for me, EVGA/BFG don't do ATI

well i had a gigabyte ati card, it was a 4870x2 and i had a waterblock on it. it packed in, i strapped the stock cooler back on, sent it back and had a 5870 sent back within 10 days. haha

Because as long as you don't cause the product any damage whilst removing/installing coolers then how is anyone to know whether its been replaced or not? Unless you tell them whilst setting up the RMA

It wont stop me putting the waterblock on, just thought I would check before ordering the card, just need to be careful installing the block
