Hi guys,

Ive been running Mayhems X1clear fluid, then Mayhems purple dye since January.
Ive drained the loop because im switching cases the cpu block looks fine.

But when I turned over the gpu block I noticed this.

Is this worth taking apart to clean, Why has this happened? I plan on just using X1 clear as I have RGB fans.

The other strange thing the purple dye has completely disappeared.

Thanks

yeah luckily you changed it .. had it myself .. but blocked fins and corroded passageways
now i just use water (distilled ) and silver coils ..

you really dont want to use anything except water. dyes and formulations imo are not worth it .. you want colour get uv tubing .. or coloured hard-line ..
i've had cpu and gpu blocks blocked or corroded.. Imagine that after a yr it's only been in 3 months .. and whats the inside of your rads like ?
just my 2p worth ..

Yes good point its the first time this has happen in 5 water-cooled builds, this is the first time using dye's though, pastals before no issue.

It doesn't look corroded just gunky.
The rads are fine ill give them a clean.

Ill just stick to the X1

I have just stripped my old build, was running X1 and mayhem's 16/10 tube for the last 4 years, never changed the fluid in that time it all looked like new. Very impressed with x1 and their soft tube.
