Yes you will see a performance increase, the 7770 is a faster card. As for Crysis 3, there was a post earlier saying that his SLI 680 setup with 1440p was only getting 15fps all maxed out.

thanks ye just for that people are really struggling to play it but i have just orded a pair of 7850's hope they run it better

Dual 7850's will run it nicely, I think his issue was mainly the resolution, apparently after turning some shadow settings and stuff down he went stable at 60fps.

Which suggests it might use a hog load of vram, something the 7850 is not short of...nevermind 2 of them.

I bet that would look nuts!!

Wonder how it would run on a pair of 4gb 680's. :D

Two graphics cards don't multiply VRAM by two. You have the same VRAM and the minimum between the two cards (so a 1GB + 2GB card -> 1GB effective VRAM, 2 x 2GB cards, 2GB VRAM).

i think its just driver problem nvidia has released 314.07 yesterday and its ment to help with sli in crysis

No intension to hijack, would it be worth upgrading my GTX660 to a 7950/7970. How much of a performance increase would there be?

i had gtx 660 ti in sli in my work rig and changed to a pair of 7950's and i have seen a great inprovement in quailty wile gaming and in the temps in my system
