The latest GPU-Z 0.55 now supports graphics card memory usage.

Memory Usage (Dedicated): graphics memory pages occupying the GPU's memory (memory on the graphics card)

Memory Usage (Dynamic): graphics memory pages occupying the system memory

In case of Radeon IGPs, "GPU's memory" would refer to the UMA area of the system memory, and "system memory" would refer to the OS-addressable system memory apart from UMA area.

GPU memory usage can also be displayed in osd when using techpowerup's osd server.

Just checked my memory usage in Crysis running the central park bench run, max dedicated vram usage was 1545MB

Rumour that Afterburner will get the Mem feature as well.

I'm using 367MB at the desktop 2560x1600 single browser.
3 screen= 4960x1600 3 browsers open 650MB depending on the content.

I'm now running 0.5.5 but I don't see anything to do with memory usage in the sensors page :(

Thanks very much Final8y, never thought I'd see this happen with AMD cards. :D

I've been wanting a memory tool since, for ever!

Time to play with my 6950>70 xfire!

I've seen reports that the readings with GPU-Z 0.5.5 on AMD cards must be divided by the number of GPUs you have, e.g. if you see 3GB vram usage on a 2-way crossfire setup, then it's actually 1.5GB vram usage per GPU.

Way ahead of you Harmony:

Oops, With Xfire disabled, I Alt+Tab'd out of Arma 2 OA to take some readings, forgot about it and ran Crysis 2 at the same time and got:

2Gb used on a single 6950>70@ 1920x1080 lol.

I'd be genuinely interested in seeing some like for like comparisons on VRAM usage between NV and AMD cards now we have the ability.

According to the first results I've seen on other forums on the first day, I can tell that the vram usage on nv and amd cards are very similar.

it seems to be working well for me

i've not seen it go above 2gb which is right even with cf...

i've just seen the dynamic go up slightly if the Dedicated gets near 2gb

That doesn't mean it's reporting the right values though.
I had it say 1.7GB, which is impossible when I use 1GB cards.
Crossfire you say? So it's really 850mb per card? I then get daft readings of 450mb in game, that would be 225mb, doesn't make sense.
