Graduated 2004 with a 2.1 in Physics.

Halfway through a grad scheme in surveying at the moment but I am now failing HARD at it.

Very confused, frightened and extremely miserable.

Graduated in 2010 Ba Hons History

Then got a Graduate Diploma in Law 2010-2011

Currently working at a law firm not as something permanent, but something long term that will contribute heavily to my career aims.

What do you do you graduated more than 2 years ago but want to see the result of the poll?

Graduated with a 2.2 in politics from Queens Belfast last summer.

Stayed there for more 6 months of an MA, hated living in NI so much that I quit and came home for my own health. Its been 6 more months of struggling to get ANY work which hasn't been nice so Im back to uni next month doing an MSc at Birkbeck which is pretty cool :)

Only tips are a. don't live in NI unless your from there (makes getting work harder by not being able to understand everyone) and b. get a job, ANY job, whilst at uni. You might think its a good idea to concentrate on your studies and have a bit more fun but looking back on it I must look so lazy to employers. Nothing can be changed for me now but iv learnt the hard way and can head out to fix it now.

I disagree chap. NI is great for people who wanna get into the IT industry, there are so many companies and plus if all goes well a lot of US companies soon too with the lower company taxation planned.

And we're not all that bad with accents, belfast is just full of chavs with strong accents I myself have trouble understanding :P

I graduated with a 2:1 in BSc Hons in Computing in July 2011. I have been looking for jobs since august after a nice break and I've had one interview already, I didn't get the job, they gave it to someone internal.

My degree is more focused around software/web development, but covered lots of different bits of everything such as networking, databases and 3D modeling.

I am more interested in networking / technician roles after I did a years placement as a technician at a school, loved it, much prefer this sort of job than coding, I can do coding but it just isn't for me, don't enjoy it one bit:mad:

But I keep getting feedback saying I have the qualification but not the experience !!!!!!

Just got to keep trying I guess, eventually something will come up. Any one got any tips etc when job hunting, so far I've just been hitting the main job websites.

Yeah I didn't go for the IT industry... :p Studied Politics as a semi-cruel joke on mum (plus its a good way to learn-ish)

Some accents are awesome, the hard core Belfast one that must be put on is a bit frustrating.... Met lots of nice people too, just living in Belfast got to be a bit of a drag. :P
