Gran Turismo 5 "might" come to the pc.

@ AZA
Well he has a point, imo the ps3 has no good games except gran turismo and GTA, all other console exclusives are boooooring...
Xbox even worse wich has nothing good at all, perhaps project gotham racing, but GT runs all over it...

no chance, mainly because most of the sim racers on PC would laugh at GT for calling itself a sim.

And GT rolls all over all of them due to having a mich nicer fleet of cars and nicer vareiety of tracks, not to mention state of the art ''you need a geforce 8 series'' gfx instead of rome old rubbish ( sorry but GTr, lfs and rfactor gfx just suck).
I really can't care much for if it's arcadey, so is TDU, and I love that too. I just want to be able to race the Nortschleife in any car including mainstream cars like bmw 3 series etc.

I'm sick of all those boring race tuned cars with all those stickers and sponsor paint jobs, or cars that can't drive normally on low rpm ( I mean wtf, in reality you use up to 3.500 rpm usually, 2500 if in town etc. while in LFS the engine sound is compeltly messed at those RPM, as if it's an odd RPM to drive at.), I wana drive normall factory cars for a change or street tuned cars, and to have em respond like normall cars when you decide to cruise along at low speed/rpm.

I agree with this, the production value of the Gran Turismo series decimates every single racing game on PC. I don't think any PC game can compete with its' depth, its' range or its' lifespan.

Gran Turismo has always been a very well produced, very slick game, throughout all of its' iterations. The quality of the game is one of the best. i remember watching a documentary on GT3 and Kazunori Yamauchi didn't even go home for Christmas because he wanted the game to stay on target for its' release date.

i just cant see this happening....without GT the ps3 is so so weak

MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 ... just a few more games that make the PS3 very good. Xbox 360 also has its own hit list, and the Wii. I have no problem enjoying both Forza and GT :) , even the odd round of Mario Kart.

If you like games, then you will get all of them, not forgeting PC. They all have their pros and cons.

i remember mgs from the playstation 1...great game but tbh i wouldnt buy a console just for that 1 game or any other games you have mentioned even though mgs is as great as it is.

GT on the other hand i would and have and i dont believe im alone on that one either.....this game is miles better than any other ive played especially when you consider the detail level and how many cars it has in it.
yes ive played what the xbox 360 has to offer yes they are good but i wouldnt buy a console for them... and this isnt a knock at the xbox 360 or its games.

Phenomenal Graphics, massive amounts of cars and a very wide range of tracks can’t stop the GT series being a soulless, sterile and unrewarding experience. No sense of speed or exhilaration from driving some of the best cars in the world and an MMO grind mentality to level up on cars and tracks.

If it comes to PC then it’s got a restraining order waiting from my comp.

What Alastair said. Played a couple of the GT series and they're all the same.

Buy car. Make it stupidly faster than the rest. Win. Use money to buy a car and make it stupidly faster than the rest. Win. Use money to buy another car....etc etc.

Same goes for Forza.

I don't really play PC racers much, but at least you've got the realism side of things, and in the case of rFactor, practically unlimited tracks and cars (now thats real depth)

Reading "Driving Simulator" on the front of GT boxes makes my stabbing hand itch.

Can't see Sony letting this happen, same thing with the Tekken series.

Two games that made me buy my PS1, PS2 and ultimately will lead me to a PS3 (once they have dropped a fair few quid mind you!)

If this would go through, i could really see this being available on Steam as its looking to be the best method of downloading games while keeping it secure. However i can only imagine the file size needed to download.

MGS4?

Blue Ray?

Many many reasons. Dont think PS3 is using its full potential yet (if ever)

Not interested.

I'd prefer to spend 250€ and buy a blu ray BURNER, a HD dvd reader, a dvd burner and cd burner in 1 for my pc instead than a Ps3.

Perhaps, except gran turismo and GTA IV nothing really interests me on the side of the PS3.

To be honest I think if Sony were going to bring the GT franchise to the PC, they'd have done it by now. I'm really struggling to think of many console games which debuted on PC in their 5th instalment. I think Devil May Cry lasted until the 3rd game.

Plus the average Chinese monthly wage is probably what the game would retail at. In 10-20 years, China will have the largest middle-class in the world but not yet... Thus most of what the Chinese play (incl. the OS) is pirated.
