This is coming up shortly, and it's the only thing i ever bet on. So, who are the favorites this year? (i know zero about horse racing!).

Have any of you placed your bets yet?! :cool:
 
Had a fiver on 'Simon' and a fiver on 'Joes Edge', plus a few £1 on the nose on the 100/1+ outsiders. Won £140'ish last year which was good, best win so far was on Maori Venture ('87), which i got at 50/1, was too young to bet, but a mate put it on for me, won £500 on that one, though my mate who is a Maori won £2500!! Git. :D
 
ive had a few EW bets on L'ami and a couple of others, i work in a bookies so SHOULD have time to watch the race

If simon, jack high, joes edge and Billyvoddan get the top 4 spots it is apparantly going to do us bookies out of nearly £100 Million :D

I hope they do!
 
Put some money on both Billyvoddan and Simon to win as well as going for Le Duc and Bothar Na each way. Wouldn't be surprised to see Numbersixvalverde come close again - backed him to win last year :)
 
haha i just went bet crazy n put £3 on each of the 100/1's to win lol and a couple of bets on man u today :cool:

on that victor my horse fell over site :) wish I'd known about this last year cause my horse fell at the 1st hurdle LOL :D

My 2 fancies are:-

Eurotrek - Won on only other run over these fences. 4m 4f shouldn't be a problem on this ground.

Mc Kelvey - Will love the ground and trip. Finished behind Eurotrek on only run over these fences but was staying on well over a trip 1m 2f shorter than today.

Other fancies on the card are:-

1.45 Thunder Rock - Will be held up off a strong pace.

2.15 Fair Along - Will hopefully make all the running on a sharp track that should suit.

2.50 Asian Maze - Could make all the running and has won on it's only 2 other runs on this track. I worry about Detroit City not have it's usual blinkers on today.

3.25 Gidam Gidam - Improving young horse who might go in again.

Graphic Approach, £0.50 @ SP (101/1 at time of betting) EW.


Just a bit of fun, but would obviously be nice to win :). Not that it'll be a fortune though!

Ill have had around 5 pints by the time its on aswell. Should be fun

Well that was spooky, just placed my bet on the horse 'Simon', the cashier was called, 'Simon', with my name being, 'Simon'. :p

Don't see how i can loose lmao, will be interesting to see what happens and if i loose £6 then i'm not fussed

Suprised not much interest here in OcUk.
