£50 worth of bets on the others, and out of all of them he came in, netting me a nice £317.50. Pity though, I had a fiver on him then changed it to an E/W bet as I stupidly thought it was safer......

I placed my bets at BetFred on the highstreet as I was out in the morning I've not been to collect my winning for Comply or Die yet so I might get a nice suprise tomorrow

He was indeed a great horse. The Gold Cup, King George, Aon Chase etc won't be the same without him stalking them round the turn in contention, he was always a massive threat.

I had £5 ew on State of Play with one of the on-course bookies who paid out to 4th

There was a real silence on the Aintree Mound when Mon Mome came home 1st. The bloke to my left must have spent at least five minutes muttering "100-1, <swear word>, 100-1, <swear word>..."

I'd also gone £5 ew on Kalarahi King in the 2:15 (which won) and was disappointed to see Fiveforthree come home 2nd (by 1/2 a length) in the 2:50, though I'd gone £5 ew on that as well

Any good tips with a decent return?

Was gonna put it on United in the Champs League but not worth it.

How about picking someone to win the US Masters golf? Antony Kim is a cracking player, could do £2.50 e-w on him at 33/1 - pays top 5 so if he's placed, you'll get £11.25 back, and if he wins you'll get £95
