Don't do party it sucks. Create a custom non-ranked game and set Private slots to max so it's invite only. Party modes always end up playing with some yanks who always get on everyones nerves.
 
Cheers to 2thumbs, Booner!, Zooger, SS-89 and anyone else who ran me down or shot me to pieces this evening that I've forgotten.

Not sure who was involved but we had a nice little turf war, hadn't tried that mode before, and some great GTA races - that and mafiya work are the most fun I think. Oh, and hanging out the back of Booners! swat van in team death match was pretty cool too :D

Thats very true mate. I tried party earlier this eve and ended up getting us all called 'douchebags'.

is there an explaination (better than R*'s poor PDF doc explaining the modes.

Is there not an online co-op mode (not team death match) but against the AI.

anyway I'm really interested on playing online. I played last night with my brother just us two in party mode but it was only the one location what is the point in that party mode?

I'll try to find a good link explaining everything but if i'm online invite me.

Gonna get a headset today for it. (Need one to drown out the noise from my xbox hairdryer.
 
I had a good couple of games last night until it went all screwy and people couldn't join etc.

One of the highlights for me was when we did Cops and Crooks (think Wingzero was on my team) and we were Cops. Started off on the highway so I boosted down that, realised it was going to take us the wrong way and saw a coned off section to jump off so we ramped off there spinning through the air. Then we bounced off a power plant (or similar) and pretty much landed on top of the Crooks with the car still facing the right way up.

lol Windle that was so awesome, I'll admit I was a bit sceptical when you made the jump but omfg did it work. We got that boss in under a minute. :D It did look like we were going to flip for a second though :p.

heh, think that was when I had a full rpg and I fired all of the rockets off and didn't manage to kill anyone on your team :(

I had a command prompt open on my other monitor pinging netcraft.co.uk the whole time though and my ping was just flipping between about 9ms and 1200ms all the time, by the time it had settled down most people had gone.
 
I think I was in that cops and crooks game but I foolishly bailed the cop car then proceeded to get lost. Was fun in SS-89's party game late last night when you had both the choppers out, damn hard to hit them with rpgs though!

If anyones up for it I'll try and get a decent game of mafiya work going this evening. I'll max private slots and hopefully we can get a few of us together. Anytime after six is good for me. What time would suit you guys?

I don't think I am that far through the SP yet - there aren't any spoilers etc in the MP side of things are there? Fairly sure there aren't but want to be sure.

Should be around some time tonight if anyone wants to show me the ropes...
