Is PSN struggling under GTA? Trying to do MP but get "Cannot connect to game provider" error

There were some problems earlier according to a few. They didn't stay around for long and service was soon resumed.

Well, it would appear, based on those users above that the PSN has buckled somewhat under the added pressure. I suspect this might be the reason why you cannot join the game.

Same as.... I had about 5 invites last night, all at different times from different people. Everytime I clicked on one it said game no longer available, returning to single player. Gave up in the end

I take it the muliplayer aspect is still playing up then?

Well playing online might be fun if I could sign in to PSN and have GTA4 still load. If I do it just sits there trying to load the mission. Truly 10/10 this game.

I don't understand how the game reviewers could not have come across some of these issues when playing through the game for themselves. Makes you wonder sometimes. In future, I shall be taking whatever they say with a pinch of salt and wait a week to see how things pan out. Anyway, thread back on track!

Interesting. However I think Rockstar and Sony still have a bit of work to do to fix the other issues as well. We'll see though!

Yep! I'm still getting loads of invites, though not so many from people on here. I've tried to add you but you have not accepted it.

I have been at uni you see for the past couple of weeks. However, I have decided to buy the Xbox360 version of the game and sell my PS3 version so I won't be on the PS3 version and have removed myself from the list accordingly. I will however be maintaining this thread though.

Thought I would dig it up again to spark some interest in the game in the hope of getting people online killing each other with baseball bats!

I haven't got the game for the Playstation 3 but organise away lads and put your £40 to some use.
